Jinju-si Prioritizes COVID-19 and AI Response During Lunar New Year Holiday
Establish Comprehensive Lunar New Year Holiday Measures to Prevent COVID-19 Spread and Actively Address Citizen Inconveniences
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 1st that it will establish and implement a comprehensive plan for this year's Lunar New Year holiday from February 11 to 14 to ensure that citizens can spend the holiday healthily and comfortably.
To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the community, the city is expanding the operation of the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters and operating a comprehensive situation room along with on-site teams for daily civil complaints to prevent incidents and accidents and resolve citizen inconveniences.
This comprehensive plan includes a total of seven directions and detailed plans, such as ▲special measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 ▲prevention of incidents and accidents ▲price stabilization ▲resolution of resident inconveniences ▲creation of a calm holiday atmosphere.
During the Lunar New Year holiday, the city will strengthen the quarantine system by significantly increasing the number of quarantine personnel to maintain a 24-hour work posture.
The comprehensive situation room will have 64 personnel across six fields, including the general support team, and the on-site daily civil complaint team will have 99 personnel across eight fields, including the waste mobile cleaning team, to resolve citizen inconveniences.
The city will actively promote the ban on private gatherings of five or more people and daily quarantine rules, while also vigorously conducting the “Lunar New Year, Stopping Movement Together in Spirit” campaign, which encourages minimizing travel such as refraining from visiting hometowns and traveling, to fully prevent the local spread of COVID-19.
Quarantine and disinfection inspections will be strengthened at key management facilities and multi-use facilities where an increase in visitors is expected, and active inspections will be conducted through inspection teams to ensure compliance with quarantine rules.
