Seoul Geumcheon Police Station announced on the 31st that they have sent a man in his 50s, identified as Mr. A, to the prosecution on charges of attempted murder.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of wielding a weapon at a family member who tried to stop him while he was urinating in the underground parking lot of a large supermarket in Geumcheon-gu on the 7th.
Police investigation confirmed that Mr. A was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the crime. During the investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated, "I usually carry two weapons in my bag."
Mr. B suffered severe injuries to his jaw and other areas from the weapon wielded by Mr. A. It is also reported that Mr. B tried to protect his wife and child who were with him at the time by rushing at Mr. A.
