LG Trom Styler Achieves Record Domestic Sales Last Year... Sales Volume Increased 30 Times in 10 Years

LG Electronics Holds Event Celebrating 10th Anniversary of Tromm Styler Launch

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunjin Jung] LG Electronics announced on the 31st that the domestic sales volume of the Tromm Styler, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, recorded an all-time high last year. Since its launch in 2011, sales have steadily increased, growing about 30 times compared to the first year.

The Tromm Styler is a clothing care device first launched worldwide by LG Electronics in 2011. The TrueSteam, created by boiling water at 100 degrees Celsius, is effective for deodorization and sterilization, and the moving hanger, which shakes clothes up to 200 times per minute, removes fine dust that is difficult to eliminate with just air. LG Electronics explained that it took nine years of research and development and holds about 220 global patents for this product.

So far, LG Electronics has released the Tromm Styler Slim in 2015, Tromm Styler Plus in 2017, Tromm Styler Mirror in 2018, and last year the Tromm Styler Black Edition 2 and Objet Collection Styler, adapting to changes in customers' lifestyles. Since 2016, it has actively expanded overseas, launching in more than 20 countries including the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Italy, China, and Japan.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Tromm Styler, LG Electronics is holding a commemorative event. The target customers are those using the original Tromm Styler models released from 2011 to 2014, which can be identified if the model name starts with CS400. Among customers who submit a photo of their product along with the model name to enter the event, the first 100 will receive Styler souvenirs such as towels, umbrellas, and teddy bears, as well as a mobile gift certificate worth approximately 500,000 KRW that can be used to purchase the Objet Collection Styler.
