According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 30th, as of midnight, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Gyeongbuk was 2,959 (including 33 overseas cases), an increase of 22 cases (including 1 imported case) compared to the previous day.
The new confirmed cases by region are 6 in Pohang City, 4 in Andong City, 3 in Cheongdo County, 2 each in Gumi City, Yeongju City, and Cheongsong County, and 1 each in Yeongcheon City, Gyeongsan City, and Yecheon County.
In Pohang, one person was confirmed positive through a household-wide screening test, and 5 additional people who had contact with existing confirmed cases were also confirmed. During the four days of 'household-wide screening tests,' 20 citizens were diagnosed positive.
The 4 new confirmed cases in Andong are all contacts related to the Mirae Taekwondo Academy. The number of confirmed cases related to the Taekwondo Academy has increased to 49 over four days.
The 3 cases in Cheongdo and 2 in Gumi were contacts of existing confirmed cases. In Yeongju and Cheongsong, 2 residents each who had contact with a confirmed case from Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, were confirmed positive after testing.
One person each in Yeongcheon and Gyeongsan showed COVID-19 symptoms and tested positive after visiting screening clinics. The confirmed case in Yecheon is an overseas entrant from Asia who tested positive during a test before the end of self-quarantine.
