COVID-19 Cases Over 400 for Three Consecutive Days... 423 Domestic and 35 Overseas New Confirmed Cases Total 458 (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] The number of new COVID-19 cases in South Korea has remained in the 400s for three consecutive days.
On the 30th, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters announced that as of midnight, the number of new domestic COVID-19 cases increased by 458, bringing the total cumulative confirmed cases to 77,850.

View original imageThis is 11 fewer than the previous day's 469 cases but continues the trend of three consecutive days with cases in the 400s.
Among the new cases, 423 were domestic transmissions, and 35 were imported cases.
This is attributed to ongoing cluster infections, including those originating from the IM Mission and Hanyang University Hospital in Seoul.
By region, Seoul and Gyeonggi reported the highest numbers with 152 and 136 cases respectively, followed by Gwangju with 32, Gyeongbuk with 21, Busan with 18, and Incheon with 15.
Chungbuk and Gyeongnam each reported 11 new cases, while Daegu and Chungnam each had 8 new cases.

Other regions reported the following: Gangwon and Jeonbuk with 3 each, Jeju with 2, and Daejeon, Ulsan, and Jeonnam with 1 each.
The death toll increased by 15 from the previous day's 1,399 to a total of 1,414. The number of people currently in isolation decreased by 85 from 9,400 to 9,315, and the number of critically ill patients dropped by 8 to 231. The domestic average fatality rate stands at 1.82%.
