Deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Conducts Disinfection Inspection at National Technical Qualification Engineer Examination Site
Visited Seoul Technical High School on the 30th... Checked quarantine measures status
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced that Vice Minister Park Hwajin visited Seoul Technical High School, where the 123rd written exam for technical engineers was held this year, on the 30th to inspect COVID-19 prevention measures. At this school, 638 candidates took the exam in 53 categories, including Gas Technical Engineer.
Vice Minister Park checked whether the examinees were sanitizing their hands, wearing masks, and undergoing fever checks. He inspected a separate exam room prepared for those with fever or respiratory symptoms and visited the general exam rooms to confirm that the distance between examinees was at least 1.5 meters and that windows were open.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor has strengthened quarantine measures at qualification exam sites by disinfecting the entire exam venue and broadcasting quarantine guidelines to examinees before the exam started.
If an examinee tests positive, they will be allowed to take the national technical qualification written exam at hospitals or residential treatment centers, as the exam is held only once a year.
Regarding practical exams, the exemption period for the written exam will be extended, or examinees will be allowed to change the exam date or location within the exam period after recovery, or a separate exam date will be designated to provide an opportunity to take the exam.
