According to the Wando Coast Guard, at around 6:10 a.m. on the 29th, a report was received that the 3,600-ton cargo ship A was flooding 9.3 km southeast off Yeoseodo Island.
In response, the Wando Coast Guard immediately dispatched patrol vessels, aircraft, and rescue personnel to the scene and successfully rescued 8 out of 9 crew members on board. Among them, 7 are in good health, and 1 is reported to be suffering from hypothermia. Search efforts are ongoing for the remaining 1 person.
