On the 29th, former Mayor Oh wrote on Facebook, "Please stop the reckless rampage of the Democratic Party," adding, "The Democratic Party is now tightening the leash even on the judiciary, the last bastion of the separation of powers and the rule of law."
He pointed out, "As feared, the Democratic Party has initiated the first-ever 'judge impeachment' in constitutional history," and noted, "Since only a majority of the total members is needed, the impeachment motion's passage is as clear as day."
Former Mayor Oh continued, "On the same day that Choi Kang-wook, a member of the Open Democratic Party who was indicted for issuing a false internship certificate to former Minister Cho Kuk's son, received a guilty verdict in the first trial that resulted in loss of his parliamentary seat, the Democratic Party brought up judge impeachment," emphasizing, "'Coincidence' repeated becomes 'inevitability.' If this is not an open threat to intimidate, control, and gag judges who make rulings unfavorable to their camp, then what is it?"
