[Concall] SK Hynix "8-inch Foundry, Accelerating China Relocation for Cost Reduction"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] SK Hynix stated during the conference call for the announcement of the fourth quarter results of last year on the 29th, "The boom in 8-inch (200㎜) foundry is expected to continue for the time being," and added, "We have planned and are implementing the relocation of 8-inch equipment to China, where cost reduction is anticipated, to fully capitalize on the opportunity." They further added, "The relocation plan was originally scheduled to take about two years, but it has been changed to relocate as quickly as possible to respond to the increasing customer demand."
