The Good Rent Spread Challenge was proposed by the National Association of Mayors, County Governors, and District Heads. It started with the purpose of helping small business owners suffering from COVID-19 and overcoming the economic crisis through nationwide efforts to spread the good rent movement centered on basic local governments.
Currently, Jinju-si is implementing support measures such as reducing property tax on buildings for landlords who have lowered rent, and the government plans to expand tax credits (income tax, etc.) up to 70% starting this year.
To revitalize the local economy, the city is providing a total of 119.6 billion KRW in four phases to support small and medium enterprises and small business owners, provide Jinju-type jobs, and support culture, arts, agriculture, and transportation sectors.
