[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] J Master (CEO Yoon Jae-gap) on the 27th awarded scholarships totaling 4 million KRW to Vietnamese international students from Quy Nhon City studying at Sookmyung Women's University in Yongsan-gu.
The award ceremony took place at the Yongsan-gu Office, attended by Yongsan-gu Mayor Seong Jang-hyun, J Master CEO Yoon Jae-gap, Phan Thi Ngoc Vy, representative of Quy Nhon City students at Sookmyung Women's University, and related officials, totaling four people.
J Master is a landscaping management company located in Bogwang-dong, Yongsan-gu. Established in 1986, it operates in landscaping planting and facility construction, tree hospital services, and building management.
Yongsan-gu Mayor Seong Jang-hyun expressed gratitude to J Master for supporting the excellent students from Quy Nhon City studying in Korea, stating, "The district will continue to pay close attention to ensure the smooth progress of this project."
Quy Nhon is a port city located in central Vietnam. The district began friendly exchanges with Quy Nhon City in 1996 and has continued supporting international students as part of related projects since 2011.
With support from the district, Sookmyung Women's University, and private companies, nine students from Quy Nhon City have enrolled at Sookmyung Women's University to date, with four having graduated.
In particular, the Woojung Education and Culture Foundation, established by Booyoung Group in 2008, provides scholarships worth approximately 8 million KRW per student annually.

This year, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of friendly exchanges with Quy Nhon City, the district plans to expand exchanges in various ways, including building a traditional Korean house (Hanok) in Vietnam, operating a cyber language school, supporting the latest medical equipment for a cataract treatment center, and assisting private companies' entry into the Vietnamese market.
