Attorney Lee Jong-yeop Elected as New President of the Korean Bar Association
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Lawyer Lee Jong-yeop (58, Judicial Research and Training Institute Class 18, photo) has been elected as the 51st President of the Korean Bar Association.
In the final vote for the Korean Bar Association president held that day, Lawyer Lee secured 8,536 votes (58.67%) out of a total of 14,550 votes, confirming his election. Lawyer Cho Hyun-wook (55, Class 19), who competed against Lee in the runoff, received 6,014 votes (41.33%).

Lawyer Lee was commissioned as a prosecutor in 1992, serving at the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office, Yeongdeok Branch of Daegu District Prosecutors' Office, and Changwon District Prosecutors' Office. He opened his law practice in 1995 and served as president of the Incheon Bar Association from 2017 to 2019.
