Chosun University Receives Highest Rating in 'K-Move School' Overseas Employment Training Program Evaluation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Chosun University's 'K-Move School,' an overseas employment training program, has received the highest rating in the operating institution evaluation.
On the 27th, Chosun University announced that it received an A grade, the highest rating, in the '2019 K-Move School' training course and operating institution evaluation hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
K-Move School, one of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's core youth employment policies, is a project aimed at providing overseas practical experience opportunities by improving job competency and language skills through customized training courses suitable for job demand to young people wishing to work overseas, and linking them to overseas employment such as in the United States after completion.
This evaluation was conducted on 102 operating institutions and 211 training courses nationwide that participated in the project.
Chosun University previously achieved a 100% employment rate for the 4th term of the 2019 K-Move School.
Additionally, by hiring dedicated staff for trainee counseling and management, the program was operated systematically and efficiently, with no dropouts or non-completers during the program.
Through mentoring with native-speaking professors from the College of Basic Education, English proficiency was improved, and counseling related to local life and overseas employment was provided, earning high satisfaction from participating students.
Chosun University is currently conducting the final stages of the 5th term (2020) of K-Move School.
In compliance with quarantine guidelines, special management of trainees, and government social distancing policies, the training courses are being operated through divided classes and online classes. In addition to this program, other overseas employment support programs are also provided to encourage trainees to further enhance the competencies required for their jobs.
Chosun University manages graduates who found employment through this program by having staff conduct local business trips to check whether they are adapting well to local life.
Last year, despite difficulties in local business trips due to COVID-19, the status of trainees was indirectly monitored through alumni in the United States.
