This plaque of appreciation is awarded by the Fisheries Cooperative to individuals who have contributed to the development of the fisheries industry by securing budgets for the convenience of fishermen, such as legislative activities to improve fishermen's welfare and improvements to fisheries high school educational facilities.
Assembly member Lee Cheol has proposed measures during provincial government inquiries including ▲new construction of a training vessel for Wando Fisheries High School ▲adoption of abalone in school meals ▲construction of the central breakwater at Wando Port ▲construction of a wired pier ▲solutions to drinking water issues in Noha and Bogil (undersea pipeline).
Additionally, at the 349th extraordinary session, he took the lead in proposing the partial amendment of the ‘Jeollanam-do Marine Culture Preservation and Promotion Ordinance’ containing marine education content to contribute to raising marine awareness and nurturing talent, actively continuing legislative activities for the residents of Wando County, where fishermen constitute the majority.
