[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 26th that it has formed a 'COVID-19 Vaccination Promotion Team' ahead of the COVID-19 vaccination.
The promotion team is led by Deputy County Governor Kim Young-min and has established a working promotion group under it, organizing five teams: Implementation General Team, Vaccine Supply Team, Vaccination Institution Operation Team, Target Management Team, and Adverse Reaction Management Team.
In cooperation with the Planning and Audit Office and the Safety Management Division, administrative tasks necessary for vaccination such as publicity and manpower support will be provided.
Additionally, plans are in place to form a regional consultative body with the Medical Association and others to establish a cooperative system with private medical institutions.
The county has begun preparations for various matters including establishing an implementation plan in line with the government’s vaccination plan, securing vaccination centers, and managing vaccine supply, and has started classifying priority vaccination targets.
Considering the COVID-19 situation and vaccine demand, the goal is to complete vaccination before November, when influenza is expected to spread.
The vaccination targets include all county residents, but vaccinations will be conducted sequentially considering essential social service personnel such as medical institution workers and nursing facility staff.
