Lotte Duty Free is the number one duty-free operator in Korea and Asia, operating 8 domestic stores, 12 stores in 6 overseas countries, and an online duty-free shop, striving to provide customers with the best shopping experience.
Last year, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the company prioritized consumers' safe shopping by thoroughly implementing quarantine and disinfection measures. In March, to proactively create a contactless shopping environment, Lotte Duty Free became the first in the industry to establish a ‘Smart Store’ at its Myeongdong flagship store. Through this, customers can enjoy fast and comfortable shopping without waiting while minimizing face-to-face contact.
The ‘Lux Mall,’ opened in November, is an online mall dedicated to duty-free goods cleared for domestic customs, allowing customers to purchase popular luxury brands at reasonable prices without going through departure procedures.

Based on its long-standing expertise in distribution and tourism, Lotte Duty Free is also fostering young enterprises through the ‘LDF Startups Youth Enterprise & Regional Win-Win Project’ to revitalize the local tourism industry and contribute to job creation. In 2019, the company discovered 10 youth enterprises in the Busan area, and last year, 10 enterprises in Jeju. Each enterprise received up to 40 million KRW in project funding and one-on-one customized accelerating support. Participating youth enterprises achieved sales growth of 250 to 400%.
