[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Two additional COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do on the 25th and 26th.
According to Hwasun-gun on that day, Jeonnam case number 722 is a temporary worker who worked in Sapyeong-myeon. The individual showed symptoms such as chills the day before, underwent diagnostic testing, and tested positive. The infection route has not yet been identified.
Jeonnam case number 723 was confirmed positive through diagnostic testing related to case number 722.
The county rapid response team and the Jeonnam epidemiological investigation team are conducting an in-depth epidemiological investigation regarding the confirmed patients' movements and infection routes.
County Governor Gu Chung-gon stated in a press release, “Please refrain from private gatherings, visiting other regions, and contact with outsiders as much as possible, and always wear a mask wherever you are.” He added, “Even if you have mild symptoms such as coughing or chills, do not self-diagnose but visit a public health center screening clinic for consultation and testing.”
