S-OIL Releases Season 2 of Character 'Gudoil' Animation
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] S-OIL has released Season 2 of the animation featuring its brand character, the Goodoil family.
Following Season 1 in 2017, the newly released Goodoil animation Season 2 consists of a total of 9 episodes produced in an omnibus sitcom format, telling humorous, action-packed, and fantasy adventure stories of the Goodoil family. Each episode will be sequentially released once a week from early this month through March on various online channels such as YouTube and Instagram.
Goodoil animation Season 1, "The Secret of the Monster Car," has surpassed 3.5 million cumulative views on its YouTube channel. Comprising 10 episodes, Season 1 attracted significant attention with the story of the Goodoil family battling the villain (Dr. Janus), who tries to throw the city into chaos using a monster car that causes pollution.
Since 2015, S-OIL has been implementing a "multi-content, multi-use" strategy, utilizing the Goodoil character in various fields such as advertising and animation marketing. In response to the recent expansion of non-face-to-face trends, the company plans to create new added value in various areas including merchandise production, collaboration marketing, and licensing based on the animation.
