Gyeongbuk Yeongcheon-si Establishes Real-Time Child Abuse Reporting KakaoTalk Channel 'Aijikim'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Yeongcheon City, Gyeongbuk announced on the 26th that it has launched the KakaoTalk channel 'Aijikim Tok,' which allows real-time reporting of child abuse cases.
Users can access the service by searching for 'Aijikim Tok' on KakaoTalk and adding the channel. If a child at risk of abuse is discovered, users can write simple personal information about the child or family and suspicious signs of abuse in the chat window.
Once a report is received, a dedicated child abuse public official conducts counseling, carries out an on-site investigation, and implements emergency measures and service connections for the child in crisis.
