Gimcheon City Provides 4 Billion KRW Support Across 5 Areas to Livestock Farms
Application Submission for Business Location in Eup/Myeon/Dong by February 10th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gimcheon City, Gyeongbuk Province announced on the 26th that applications for livestock sector support projects will be accepted at the town, township, and neighborhood offices where the projects are located until February 10 to promote the management stability of livestock farms.
This year's livestock sector support projects will be carried out with a total budget of 4 billion KRW across five sectors. A total of 54 projects will be supported, including 17 types in the large livestock sector, 14 types in the small and medium livestock sector, 6 types in the poultry sector, 10 types in livestock promotion projects, and 7 types in the livestock quarantine sector.
To strengthen livestock competitiveness, about 4 billion KRW will be invested to support automatic feeders for Hanwoo and dairy cows, dairy helpers, large fans, and IoT-based cattle management systems.
For improving the environment of livestock farms, skid loader support, medium-sized disinfection facilities to block disease inflow through quarantine infrastructure construction, CCTV quarantine infrastructure for poultry farms, and fence support projects for pig farms will be focused on.
In addition, new projects such as feed for beekeeping and electric heating devices for beehives will be newly established and supported to revitalize livestock farms that have become more difficult due to COVID-19.
