On the 25th, posts with the hashtag "Sorry Jeong-in" (鄭仁對不起) have surged on Weibo and other SNS platforms.
The posts include photos of Chinese people holding placards with the phrase "I am a mother (or father) in China. Please sentence the adoptive parents accused in the Jeong-in case to death."
Additionally, some Chinese netizens sent memorial letters and petitions via email to the Korea Child Abuse Prevention Association, which is conducting the "Sorry Jeong-in" campaign.

There were also Chinese individuals who asked acquaintances in Korea to deliver gifts to the arboretum where Jeong-in was buried.
Gong Hye-jung, the head of the Korea Child Abuse Prevention Association, said in a phone interview with Yonhap News, "Chinese parents have sent over 350 emails to the association's official email expressing their intention to participate in the campaign," adding, "We will do our best to convey their wishes well."
