[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Shinsegae Group is pursuing the acquisition of the professional baseball team SK Wyverns.
On the 25th, Shinsegae Group stated, "We are conducting broad discussions with SK Telecom regarding the development direction of professional baseball and domestic sports." Shinsegae added, "We will disclose detailed information and provide a thorough explanation once the discussions are finalized."
Earlier that day, it was reported in some business circles that SK Telecom, which holds 100% of the shares of SK Wyverns, is negotiating with Shinsegae Group for the sale of the team.
