Songpa-gu Provides Eco-friendly Agricultural Product Packages to 1,680 Pregnant Women
Providing Safe Food Worth 410,000 Won Throughout This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) will supply eco-friendly agricultural product packages worth approximately 410,000 KRW over 12 months to 1,680 pregnant women in the area.
The "Pregnant Women Eco-Friendly Agricultural Product Package Support Project" is a program that provides pregnant women with organic livestock products, pesticide-free agricultural products, organic processed foods, and pesticide-free raw material processed foods through an online mall.
Eligible recipients are Songpa-gu residents who are pregnant as of the application date or mothers who have given birth since January 1, 2020.
Those currently benefiting from the Nutrition Plus program at the time of application are excluded from eligibility.
Applications can be submitted on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. on January 25 through the Pregnant Women Eco-Friendly Agricultural Product Shopping Mall website.
If online application is not possible, in-person applications can be made at the District Office's Regional Economy Division. No additional documents are required for online applications, but in-person applicants must submit a resident registration certificate (issued within the last 3 months) and pregnancy or childbirth verification documents.
The eco-friendly agricultural product packages can be ordered 4 times per month, up to 16 times per year, with each order ranging from 30,000 KRW to 100,000 KRW using the points provided by the designated online mall.
For each order, the recipient only needs to pay 20% of the total amount and can receive the products at their desired address.
In the future, the district plans to provide additional packages worth approximately 70,000 KRW per person if additional budget is secured.
