50-Year-Old Worker Falls to Death at GGM Automobile Production Plant Construction Site
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] A worker fell to his death at the Gwangju Global Motors (GGM) construction site.
According to GGM on the 23rd, around 2:30 PM that day, a man in his 50s, Mr. A, who was working at the GGM painting factory in Bitgreen National Industrial Complex, Wolya-myeon, Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do, fell.
At the time of the accident, Mr. A was confirmed to be working on equipment at a ceiling height of 9 meters.
Colleagues who were with him at the site performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on Mr. A and called 119.
Mr. A was transported to the hospital by the 119 rescue team that arrived at the scene 15 minutes after the report, but he ultimately passed away.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, including whether safety regulations were followed, by questioning factory officials and others.
