Jeonnam Labor-Management-Government Council Agrees to Cooperate in Creating 'Jeonnam-style Win-Win Jobs'
First Council Meeting of the Year Held... Sharing Opinions on Job Creation and More
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province held its first ‘Jeollanam-do Labor-Management-Government Council’ of the year and laid the groundwork for full-scale project promotion by deciding to jointly respond to the Jeonnam-type win-win job creation project with 37 labor-management-government institutions.
According to Jeonnam Province on the 22nd, 20 representatives of labor, management, and government attended the council, including the chairman of the Korean Federation of Trade Unions Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, the president of the Jeonnam Employers Federation, and the president of the Consumer Education Central Association Jeonnam Branch. They exchanged broad opinions on job creation measures and regional labor issues.
Regarding the progress of the Jeonnam-type job creation project, various opinions from labor-management-government representatives were heard, followed by in-depth discussions on future plans.
In particular, the Jeonnam-type job win-win agreement was reviewed and approved, and the plan for this year’s labor-management-government cooperation activation project was also reported.
According to the Jeonnam-type job win-win agreement approved that day, 37 labor-management-government institutions including Korea Electric Power Corporation will establish the Jeonnam-type win-win job model through the Shinan offshore wind power complex and participate in 30 tasks across 4 fields to promote it as a new driving force for the regional economy.
Thus, since proclaiming the Blue Economy vision as a growth engine of Jeonnam in July 2019 and launching the Jeonnam-type win-win job creation project as a core project of Blue Energy, the province has achieved tangible results by establishing a foundation to actively promote the project.
The Jeonnam-type job creation project is a key issue that can revitalize the stagnant regional economy and labor market by creating 120,000 jobs and attracting and nurturing about 450 companies.
Along with this, the Jeonnam Labor-Management-Government Council members agreed on the expansion of the employment market crisis due to the regional economic downturn caused by COVID-19 and agreed to communicate and cooperate together to overcome it.
