The ‘Visiting Senior Knowledge Industry Center Consultant’ is a job creation project that utilizes the careers of retired seniors to provide consulting services in areas such as management, human resources, and finance to local companies, supporting labor costs.
For seniors retired after their 50s, it offers quality jobs that utilize their experience and expertise, and for young and startup companies, it provides a foothold for growth within the region through consulting support from senior experts.
In 2020, the district selected 10 participants through this project and conducted a total of 267 consultations and consulting sessions in fields such as jobs, human resources and labor, management, and marketing with 117 local companies.
Mr. Lim, who participated in last year’s project, said, “Along with obtaining a job, I was glad to be able to use my knowledge and past experience without letting them go to waste and to be of some help. I felt a great sense of fulfillment in working as a consultant who could assist small business owners as a mentor.”
The project starting in March this year will recruit participants in five fields?jobs, human resources and labor, management, and taxation?just like the previous year, and will recruit and select participating companies in the first and second halves of the year for consulting.
Application forms, submission documents, and methods for participation can be found on the Seongdong-gu Office website.
