[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu City (Mayor Kwon Oh-bong) announced on the 21st that it has launched online promotional support for local agricultural, marine, and specialty product companies struggling due to COVID-19 ahead of the Lunar New Year.
According to the city, a 'Lunar New Year Discount Event' is being held until the 14th of next month through the Yeosu City brand section in the Post Office Shopping Mall, offering discounts on Yeosu's agricultural, marine, and specialty products.
Consumers will receive a 15% discount coupon on all items, allowing them to purchase various products such as Dolsan Gat Kimchi, Soy Sauce Marinated Crab, Handmade Tofu, Geomundo Sea Breeze Mugwort Rice Cake, Mackerel Fillet, and Dried Seafood at affordable prices.
The city plans to conduct occasional promotions until the end of the year to promote local specialties and increase sales.
A city official stated, "We expect this Lunar New Year event to be an opportunity to widely promote Yeosu's excellent clean agricultural and marine specialty products to consumers nationwide," adding, "We will continue to expand online direct sales channels to broaden the market for local agricultural and marine specialty products."
Meanwhile, the Yeosu City brand section in the Post Office Shopping Mall can also be easily accessed through popup zone banners on the Yeosu City Hall and Agricultural Technology Center websites.
