Tesla, Another Explosion Accident in Shanghai, China
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] A Tesla affordable electric vehicle 'Model 3' explosion accident occurred in China.
On the 21st (local time), according to local media and CNBC, a Model 3 vehicle parked in an underground parking lot for residents in Shanghai, China, exploded on the 19th. There were no casualties.
Initial analysis suggests that the explosion accident occurred due to an impact on the underside of the vehicle. Tesla has not yet released an official statement regarding this accident.
CNBC reported that it has not yet been revealed whether the vehicle was made locally or imported from the United States. CATL, a major Chinese battery company supplying batteries to Tesla, said, "We did not produce the battery pack for the Model 3."

This is not the first Tesla explosion accident in Shanghai. In April 2019, a parked Model S suddenly exploded in an underground parking lot of a building.
