The Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration announced on the 19th that due to cold air flowing in from the northwest, the inland eastern part of Jeonnam will drop to around -10℃ on the 20th, and other areas will fall below -5℃.
The lowest temperature in the morning is forecasted to be between -9 and 0℃, and the highest temperature during the day will be between 9 and 11℃.
The morning low temperatures by region are Gwangju -4℃, Naju -6℃, Jangseong -6℃, Damyang -6℃, Hwasun -5℃, Yeonggwang -6℃, Hampyeong -5℃, Mokpo -3℃, Muan -4℃, Yeongam -5℃, Jindo -2℃, Sinan -3℃, Heuksando 4℃, Suncheon -4℃, Gwangyang -2℃, Gurye -8℃, and Gokseong -9℃.
The daytime high temperatures are Gwangju 11℃, Naju 10℃, Jangseong 10℃, Damyang 11℃, Hwasun 11℃, Yeonggwang 9℃, Hampyeong 11℃, Mokpo 9℃, Muan 10℃, Yeongam 11℃, Jindo 10℃, Sinan 10℃, Heuksando 11℃, Suncheon 10℃, Gwangyang 10℃, Gurye 11℃, and Gokseong 10℃.
This severe cold is expected to gradually ease from the daytime as temperatures rise above freezing.
