Gwangju Dong-gu Conducts Comprehensive Inspection of Public and Open Restrooms
Focus on Quarantine and Hygiene Management Ahead of Seollal Holiday
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 19th that it will conduct a comprehensive inspection of 190 public and open restrooms in the district by the 10th of next month ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
This inspection will focus on quarantine and hygiene management to prevent COVID-19 infections, which have been ongoing for a long time.
The plan is to ensure that residents can use public restrooms with peace of mind in a cleaner public hygiene environment.
The inspection will focus on 190 locations, including 168 open restrooms and 22 public restrooms, checking ▲prevention of facility freezing ▲operation of emergency bells ▲compliance with COVID-19 related quarantine rules ▲cleanliness of restrooms and availability of convenience items.
Any issues found will be addressed immediately on-site, and cleaning staff will be deployed at all times to minimize inconvenience to users.
This year, Dong-gu plans to carry out various projects such as ▲construction of a new public restroom in Junam Village ▲renovation of public restrooms ▲renovation and provision of convenience items for private open restrooms, ensuring that both visitors to Dong-gu and residents can use safe and clean restrooms.
