Call for Nominations: '2021 Gimhae City Book of the Year' Citizen Writer Book Category
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The city of Gimhae is calling for nominations for the '2021 Gimhae City Book of the Year' in the Citizen Author Book category.
Last year, Gimhae City in Gyeongnam established the 'Citizen Author Book' category to support local creators and provide an opportunity to discuss residents' concerns together.
The nominated books will be reviewed by the 'Gimhae City Book of the Year Promotion Council,' composed of citizens from groups such as schools, government offices, and literary organizations, and selected through a citizen vote by March.
The application period is from the 20th to the 27th, and the works must be by authors who currently reside in Gimhae or have lived in the city for more than one year as of the 18th.

The Director of the City's Talent Development Support Division said, "We hope many citizens will participate in recommending books by citizen authors, which is an opportunity to enhance the effectiveness of the Gimhae City Book of the Year project and showcase the cultural capabilities of Gimhae citizens."
