Samsung Electronics Holds Entrance Ceremony for 5th Class of 'Samsung Youth SW Academy'
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Samsung Electronics announced on the 19th that it held the 5th Samsung Youth SW Academy entrance ceremony at the 'Seoul Multi Campus Education Center' located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The 5th batch consists of a total of 750 students, but considering the COVID-19 situation, the number of students attending the entrance ceremony in person was minimized to 12. Other students from four regions nationwide, including Seoul, Daejeon, Gwangju, and Gumi, attended online.
At the site, Kim Yong-gi, Vice Chairman of the Job Committee, Park Hwa-jin, Vice Minister of Employment and Labor, and Choi Yoon-ho, President of Samsung Electronics' Management Support Office, personally attended to encourage the new students.
The 'Samsung Youth SW Academy' is a program aimed at expanding the domestic IT ecosystem base and enhancing youth employment competitiveness. The 5th batch started with fully online education and plans to combine online and offline education depending on the situation.
