Chairman Woo played a significant role as the floor leader of the Democratic Party during the 2017 Pohang earthquake in enacting the Pohang Earthquake Special Act.
On this day, Mayor Lee emphasized that for the early opening of the Donghae Expressway (between Pohang and Yeongdeok) in 2023, which is a wide-area road network in the Donghae region and a national arterial road for north-south economic cooperation, it is essential to approve the change in the total project cost reflecting the Yeongilman crossing section.
Pohang is currently emerging as the optimal location for the next-generation Battery Park, with the designation of the next-generation battery regulatory free zone, the promotion of the electric vehicle used battery resource circulation cluster project, and research institutions for core secondary battery technologies.
