Naju-si Recruiting Participants for 'Youth Challenge Support Project'
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Han-hyuk Lee] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 18th that it will publicly recruit participants (teams) for the ‘Youth Challenge Support Project’ from the 18th of this month to the 17th of next month.
The project areas include ‘Operation of Youth Capacity Building Programs,’ ‘Discovery of Youth Culture such as Performances, Exhibitions, and Cultural Events,’ ‘Activation of Healthy Youth Communities,’ ‘Promotion of Naju including Tourism, Food, and Accommodation,’ and ‘Urban Vitality with Youth,’ supporting small-scale project expenses based on innovative ideas from youth.
Eligible applicants are groups or organizations composed of three or more youth aged 19 to 39 residing in the jurisdiction, and support funds ranging from 1 million to 3 million KRW will be differentially provided through selection in up to four project areas.
However, projects that extend beyond Naju City’s jurisdiction, receive funding from the national government, other local governments, or public organizations for the same project, or are private gatherings for simple socializing or profit purposes are excluded from application.
Groups promoting specific religious doctrines, supporting political parties or politicians, lacking public interest or morality in their projects, as well as expenses such as office rent or cash expenditures will not be supported.
Applications can be submitted by downloading the application documents posted in the notice section on the website and visiting the Youth Center in person.

Mayor Kang In-gyu said, “This will be an opportunity to breathe vitality into the local community and stabilize the settlement of youth by sharing mutual potential and capabilities through the formation of social networks among the younger generation,” adding, “We will do our best to discover and activate youth support policies suitable for the post-COVID-19 era, with the Youth Center as a base.”
