Jeonbuk Gimje, Suspected Case of Highly Pathogenic AI Found at Meat Duck Farm
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] A suspected case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) has been detected at a meat duck farm in Gimje, Jeonbuk.
The Central Avian Influenza Countermeasures Headquarters (CAC) announced on the 17th that H5-type AI antigen was detected during surveillance and testing at the meat duck farm.
Currently, detailed tests are underway, and the determination of high pathogenicity is expected within 1 to 3 days.
The CAC has restricted access to the farm and conducted an epidemiological investigation.
