Daegu City Children's Choir, Recruiting Members for the 1st Session of the Mother Choir Class
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] The Daegu City Children’s Choir (Artistic Director Kim Yuhwan) is recruiting the first generation of members for the Mothers’ Choir Classroom in celebration of its 40th anniversary.
According to Daegu City, this choir classroom was organized to provide a space where mothers can relieve the accumulated burdens and fatigue that have increased as their roles have grown due to families spending more time at home during COVID-19, through music.
Any woman aged between 35 and under 55 residing in Daegu is eligible to apply, and those with more than 5 years of choir experience can apply up to the age of 60. Successful candidates will be selected based on high scores within the recruitment quota through a practical exam, which requires singing <별> composed by Lee Suin.
The recruitment quota is a total of 40 members: Soprano 1, Soprano 2, and Alto. There will be regular weekly rehearsals and special rehearsals for 14 weeks from the start date.
The tuition is free, and participants will receive professional guidance from Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Kim Yuhwan as well as staff of the Daegu City Children’s Choir, and can participate in performances such as the graduation concert and special appearances at regular concerts.
