Wando-gun Launches Special Lunar New Year Quarantine 'Everyone Stop' Campaign

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Shin Woo-cheol) announced on the 15th that following the launch of the "Stop Moving" campaign during last Chuseok, the first among local governments, it will proactively respond to the spread of COVID-19 during the Lunar New Year holiday by implementing the "Everyone Stop" campaign from the 18th of this month to the 14th of next month, urging people to refrain from traveling to and from their hometowns.
The "Everyone Stop" campaign focuses on 24 tasks across five major areas. These five areas include expanding participation in the "Everyone Stop" campaign, implementing special quarantine measures for travelers to and from hometowns, supporting welfare administrative services to enhance participation of residents and hometown natives, promoting consumption of local specialties to revitalize the regional economy, and carrying out differentiated quarantine activities unique to Wando-gun.
In particular, to minimize contact between residents and tourists, special quarantine measures for passenger ships will be implemented, including designating and operating safe restaurants with separated tables, conducting temperature checks at passenger terminal entrances, refusing boarding to those not wearing masks, and disinfecting facilities.
