Three Additional Confirmed Cases from Existing Infection Routes... Gwangju Total Reaches 1,415
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Three additional COVID-19 confirmed cases related to existing infection routes were reported in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
According to Gwangju City on the 15th, as of 2 p.m. that day, one person each from Hyojeong Nursing Hospital, BTJ Yeolbang Center, and those related to existing confirmed cases tested positive, classified as Gwangju cases 1413 to 1415.
Gwangju case 1413 is a family member of an employee at Hyojeong Nursing Hospital and is considered an n-th generation infection case. The fifth proactive PCR test at Hyojeong Nursing Hospital is being conducted that day.
Gwangju case 1414, who tested positive at a temporary screening clinic, was confirmed to be related to the BTJ Yeolbang Center. Among 45 Gwangju citizens who visited the BTJ Yeolbang Center (Sangju-si, Gyeongbuk), only 43 have undergone diagnostic testing, with 5 testing positive.
The quarantine authorities recommend that the remaining 2 undergo testing by the 18th through administrative orders and plan to take legal action according to relevant laws if violated.
Gwangju case 1415 is a contact of the existing confirmed case Gwangju 1236.
