The participants focused their proposals on strengthening support systems that enable more women scientists and technologists to participate in research and development activities and creating a work-family balance environment that allows uninterrupted research without career breaks. Vice Minister Jeong stated, "Through today's meeting, I heard the vivid voices of women scientists and technologists who are struggling in the research field," and added, "I will do my best to create effective government policies that ensure work-family balance is practically implemented in the workplace."
