Sejong-si, Comprehensive COVID-19 Testing for Postpartum Care Center Workers
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City announced on the 15th that it will conduct comprehensive COVID-19 testing for about 100 workers at six local postpartum care centers from the 18th to the 22nd.
The comprehensive testing is a preemptive measure to prevent the spread of infectious diseases following recent cluster infections in facilities such as detention centers and nursing hospitals.
In particular, Sejong is ranked first in total fertility rate, and since the number of mothers and infants is relatively high, the city considers the management of postpartum care centers to be important.
The city plans to carry out the comprehensive testing at a screening clinic inside the Eojin-dong Complex Community Center.
In addition to the comprehensive testing, the city will provide guidelines on behavioral rules and special quarantine measures to postpartum care center workers and users in the area, and will also inspect the implementation of detailed quarantine measures necessary for the health management of newborns and mothers.
