Gurye-gun Promotes Policies to Maintain Integrity Level 2 Grade
[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] Jeollanam-do Gurye-gun announced on the 14th that it will promote the ‘2021 Integrity Improvement Measures’ to create a clean Gurye-gun and raise the integrity awareness of public officials.
The county received a comprehensive grade 2 (8.37 points), the highest rating in the past five years, in the ‘2020 Integrity Evaluation’ conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission targeting 580 public institutions.
Accordingly, the county plans to establish and implement distinctive measures to maintain excellent integrity this year as well.
First, following 2020, the county will operate an Integrity Broadcast Listening Day this year, broadcasting various topics such as integrity quotes, public officials’ code of conduct, and cases of integrity practice in 1 to 2 minutes before work starts to all departments within the county office.
Next, the Integrity Golden Bell, conducted in a format similar to KBS’s Challenge! Golden Bell, will use quizzes on basic integrity knowledge, the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, and the public officials’ code of conduct to raise public officials’ awareness of integrity through anti-corruption law cases.
In addition, the county will strive to raise awareness of integrity and maintain the integrity evaluation through various integrity education programs, sending integrity text messages and letters, and promotional activities.
County Governor Kim Sun-ho emphasized, “Receiving a high score in the previous integrity evaluation confirmed that efforts to prevent corruption are yielding results,” and added, “We will strive to become a clean Gurye-gun that serves its residents.”
