Hamyang-gun Holds 5th Hamyang Gojongsi Gotgam Sold-Out Prayer Ceremony

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced that it will hold a “Sold-Out Prayer Ceremony” for dried persimmons on the 15th at the Grand Performance Hall of the Culture and Arts Center to wish for the successful hosting and complete sell-out of the 5th Hamyang Gojongsi Gotgam Festival, which will be held non-face-to-face.
The county said that the “5th Hamyang Gojongsi Gotgam Festival,” held online non-face-to-face from the 15th to the 19th for five days, will feature various events along with the sale of dried persimmons through online shopping and live commerce.
Before the festival opening, on the first day of the festival, the 15th, a simplified sold-out prayer ceremony will be held at the Culture Zone set in the Grand Performance Hall of the Culture and Arts Center, attended by County Governor Seo Chun-soo, County Council Chairman Hwang Tae-jin, executives of the Gotgam Festival Committee, and heads of related organizations.
Participants in the prayer ceremony on that day will pray for the complete sell-out of dried persimmons at the online festival so that many dried persimmons are sold, helping not only the county’s economy but also local farms facing difficulties.
The county is replacing the opening ceremony with this prayer ceremony to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and will promote sales online.
