379 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed Nationwide by 6 PM... 61 Fewer Than Previous Day

As of 6 PM on the 13th, a total of 379 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were reported nationwide.
According to the quarantine authorities and local governments, from midnight to 6 PM on this day, a total of 379 people tested positive for COVID-19. This is 61 fewer than the 440 cases reported during the same time frame the previous day.
Among the new confirmed cases, 253 were reported in the metropolitan area, and 126 were reported in non-metropolitan areas. By city and province, there were 121 in Gyeonggi, 111 in Seoul, 28 in Busan, 21 in Incheon, 19 in Gwangju, 15 each in Gyeongbuk and Gyeongnam, 12 in Chungbuk, 9 in Gangwon, 7 each in Daegu and Chungnam, 6 in Ulsan, 3 each in Jeonbuk and Jeonnam, and 2 in Jeju.

The number of new confirmed cases is expected to increase further by the midnight tally cutoff. On the previous day, 122 additional cases were reported from 6 PM to midnight, bringing the total to 562 confirmed cases. Similarly, the total for this day is expected to reach the 400s, possibly even the 500s.
