[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin District, participated in the ‘#ExpectLocalAutonomy’ challenge on the 13th.
Since 2019, the district has been active as a member of the ‘Local Autonomy Local Government Council,’ a consultative body among local governments for local autonomy, and is promoting various projects such as operating a local autonomy university for residents and participating in local autonomy expos.
This challenge is a campaign initiated by the Presidential Committee on Local Autonomy to build consensus on local autonomy and share hopes and aspirations following the passage of amendments to the Local Autonomy Act and the Police Act on December 9 last year.
Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin District, who joined the challenge upon the nomination of Lee Jung-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong District, delivered a supportive message saying, “Local autonomy created together with residents, Gwangjin District will take the lead.”
