[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The National Tax Service announced on the 13th that it will launch the 'Year-end Tax Settlement Simplification Service' on the 15th, allowing employees to check income and tax deduction proof documents that must be submitted to their companies for year-end tax settlement.
The final confirmed data reflecting additions and corrections submitted by receipt issuing institutions will be provided from the 20th.
Documents not available through the simplification service must be directly obtained and submitted by employees from the receipt issuing institutions.
This year, new data will be provided for expenses such as eyeglass purchases paid by credit card or cash receipt, monthly rent paid to public rental housing operators, and actual medical insurance claim amounts.
Donation data related to the emergency disaster relief fund paid to all citizens nationwide in August last year will also be collected in bulk from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, and provided through the simplification service.
By diversifying authentication methods, access to Hometax is now possible not only with the joint certificate (formerly the public certificate, financial certificate) but also with private (commercial) certificates, and service hours have been extended from 6 a.m. to midnight for more convenient use.
