Government and IMF to Conduct '2021 Annual Consultation' from 13th to 28th

The government announced on the 12th that it plans to conduct the '2021 Annual Consultation' with the IMF from the 13th to the 28th. Due to the COVID-19 situation, this annual consultation will be held via video conference.

IMF member countries are required to conduct annual consultations with the IMF under Article 4 of the agreement. The IMF mission team will begin discussions with the Ministry of Economy and Finance on recent economic trends, COVID-19 response policies, and fiscal policies, and plans to discuss overall policies with policy research institutions such as the Bank of Korea and the Korea Development Institute (KDI).
