According to Gwangju City on the 12th, as of midnight the previous day, 1 additional person (Gwangju 1371) was confirmed positive, adding to the previously announced 6 cases.
The total number of confirmed cases reached 1,371.
All of these confirmed cases were infected through existing transmission routes.
Three people (Gwangju 1366, 1367, and 1368) are confirmed cases related to Hyojeong Nursing Hospital, where a large-scale cluster infection occurred. Among hospital patients, one each was confirmed on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the main building, and one close contact was additionally confirmed.
The cumulative confirmed cases related to Hyojeong Nursing Hospital increased to 118.
Another three are contacts of Gwangju 1235, a confirmed case related to Yangdong High-Speed Hardware.
The remaining one was identified as a confirmed case related to Evergreen Nursing Home, where a large-scale cluster infection occurred. This person was already classified as a contact of Evergreen Nursing Home and was self-isolating when confirmed positive.
