Pukyong National University received applications for the 2021 regular admission new students from January 7 to 11, with 4,059 applicants competing for 1,319 spots, recording a competition rate of 3.08 to 1.
Last year's regular admission competition rate was 3.44 to 1 (1,227 spots with 4,219 applicants).
By recruitment group, Group A (general admission) had a competition rate of 3.13 to 1 (1,968 applicants for 629 spots), and Group B (general admission) had a competition rate of 3.3 to 1 (2,031 applicants for 615 spots).
In Group A, the Department of Industrial Design had the highest competition rate with 160 applicants for 25 spots, a ratio of 6.4 to 1, followed by the Department of Applied Mathematics with 87 applicants for 14 spots, a ratio of 6.21 to 1.
