Gwangju Nam-gu 'Happy Welfare 7979 Center' Satisfaction Survey Conducted
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae) announced on the 8th that it will conduct a satisfaction survey on the ‘Happy Welfare 7979 Center,’ which provides various welfare services to elderly people living alone, people with disabilities, and vulnerable residents.
The survey will be conducted until the 15th through phone calls, KakaoTalk, and by visiting households that have reported and resolved daily inconvenience issues, with follow-up management conducted alongside the survey.
The questionnaire consists of seven questions, including how respondents came to know about the Happy Welfare 7979 Center, the purpose of using the service, satisfaction with welfare counseling calls and KakaoTalk consultations, the attitude of service staff, and the usage status of the 7979 Volunteer Group.
Nam-gu plans to collect and analyze the data after the survey ends on the 15th and prepare the final report by the 25th.
Additionally, service improvement suggestions and recommendations raised by users during the survey process will be actively reflected in the operation of the Happy Welfare 7979 Center throughout the year to further enhance the quality of life for residents in the district.
A Nam-gu official stated, “This satisfaction survey serves as an evaluation of the one-year journey of the Happy Welfare 7979 Center last year. It will be an opportunity to closely identify any shortcomings from the users’ perspective to provide better services.”
Meanwhile, District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae has promoted the Happy Welfare 7979 Center project as a campaign pledge during the 7th local government administration to improve the quality of life for vulnerable residents and provide integrated welfare services.

The center opened in June 2019 and provided 19,608 welfare call counseling services to residents throughout 2020. Through the 7979 Volunteer Group, it resolved 609 various daily inconvenience issues, serving as a reliable support for socially disadvantaged groups.
