Seoul City Reports 145 New COVID-19 Cases by 6 PM
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Seoul City announced that from 0:00 to 18:00 on the 7th, there were 145 newly confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Seoul over 18 hours.
This is fewer than the 193 cases during the same time period on the previous day (6th) and the 202 cases one week ago (March 31).
Among the new confirmed cases on this day, 3 were imported cases from overseas, and the remaining 142 were domestic infections.
Among ongoing cluster infections, one new confirmed case each was reported at ▲a residential facility for the disabled in Songpa-gu ▲a nursing hospital and nursing home in Guro-gu ▲a nursing facility II in Yangcheon-gu ▲a religious facility in Jungnang-gu ▲a gathering of acquaintances in Gangdong-gu, and 5 additional cases were reported from other cluster infections.
Excluding cluster infections, 90 new cases were from 'contact with other confirmed cases,' 7 from 'contact with confirmed cases in other cities/provinces,' and 35 cases are under investigation due to unclear infection routes.
